As a producer and writer for independent movies, Campbell made his foray into film distribution in 2004 with domestic sales for Miramax Films, working on notable and Oscar-winning films such as The Queen, No Country for Old Men, and Tsotsi.

 

He played a pivotal role in creating the distribution arm of Open Road Films in 2011, launching films into box office success and critical acclaim including Oscar-winner Spotlight, Liam Neeson’s survival thriller, The Grey, and critic favorite, Chef.

 

After eight successful years at Open Road, Campbell branched out to independent consulting for a wide variety of companies building and delivering all aspects of worldwide distribution and marketing campaigns.

 

Today, Campbell continues to consult as a producer, marketer, and distributor for established companies like Briarcliff Ent/Open Road and Angel Studios, and indies like Eleven Arts, launching films such as the anime, Poupelle of Chimney Town, the Nicolas Cage action-comedy, The Retirement Plan, and the upcoming documentary, William Shatner: You Can Call Me Bill.
